RIP Bingo
(June 1990 - January 2007)

I just got word that my poor lil doggy had to be put down this morning :( We got home late yesterday to find him unable to walk, he was pulling himself by his front legs. He's a mini fox terrier, so only little but he was howling all nite - obviously in pain... we settled him, but only for him to start an hour later. First thing this morning it was off to the vet. We thought a paralysis tick may have gotten him, but turns out he slipped a disc in his back, and there was nothing they could do.
I've had him since I was 10!! I don't know what it's like to NOT have him! :(
Although he's been a bit slow on his legs of late, he was my walking partner for years! And when I came home from overseas 8kgs heavier, he too had put on weight from too much food, so we went on a weight loss program together. LOL
Hey, it worked!! We had some good times...
So I'm a little bit sad, but at least he's in no pain anymore.
And he was always a good boy, so I know he's gone straight to Doggy Heaven! :)

I am so sorry for you Selina, I felt sad reading your post. Losing a pet is losing a member of the family. Its amazing the bond you can have with a pet and just don't realise how big a part they play in your life until they are gone. Like you said, least he isn't suffering anymore.
Take care
Jode

Sorry to hear about your little foxie.....that will be a terrible loss since you had him since 10! I hope you are okay.....it is like losing a family member isn't it?

You can remember him everytime you go for a walk....you got to have 16 good years with him and I am sure he loved every moment with you.

Wish I could help with the pain :( chin up.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss Selina. We get so incredibly attached to our pets don't we. I have no doubt that they'll be a few tears still yet to shed but just know that we understand.

Take care. xx

Thanks girls for your comments.
He was cremated and we get him back this week. His ashes will be sprinkled under his favourite fruit tree... I tell you he marked his territory there many times over! I have all faith the tree will grow an abundance of fruit in years to come :)

So sorry to hear about Bingo. I can imagine how upset you would have been saying good bye to your little buddy. At least he is pain free and peaceful now.
