I went for a run this morning, a looooong run. How could I not, I didn't have to go to work!!! I really needed to see how my foot would pull up after a longer run again. It doesn't hurt on a normal day, or at work or RPM or anything else for that matter. And I still have to train. BUT I did a deal with myself, if it hurt, I listen to my body, not be a superhero, and STOP!
I did some fancy strapping work to see if it would help...

And this is the bottom. Looks like a full cast eh!
But, it did good! Bit of "hello, I'm still gonna hurt even though you strapped me" niggles about 3kms in, and then slightly on and off throughout. Towards the end was gonna be the challenge. By then my feet were simply numb, so it didn't matter ;) I was out there 2 hours, and I can still walk on it. Yeha! Kept the strapping on for 4 hours after it to keep it compressed, then dunked it in ice and for now, it's doing good :) *fingers crossed*
If I have to resort to strapping it just to get through the next few weeks before I can rest more, I'm OK with that. Must remember to purchase more tape...
